Vision
We are committed to making indoor spaces and the air we breathe healthier for people by creating the purest, healthiest indoor air possible. This vision fuels our passion to invest in the science, engage in decades of laboratory testing, and it drives our continued innovation in the design and operation of our devices.
There is only one ActivePure®
ActivePure Technology is proactive – it doesn’t wait for air to pass through a passive filter. It actively fills an indoor space with the same reactive, oxygen-based molecules that make natural outdoor air safe, and quickly neutralizes pathogens (organisms that cause disease) everywhere.
It is designed to use the law of gases to carry neutralizing molecules into every nook and cranny in every space, just like the smell of popcorn rapidly spreads through every area in your home. Odorless and invisible ActivePure molecules use the same law of gases as they are propelled from our portable and installed products, neutralizing pathogens in the air.

Our people
Meet the corporate leaders who make us the global leader in air, water, and surface purification.
Joseph P. Urso’s thirst for knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit have long driven his approach to business. His attendance in the 1990s at then-Vice President Al Gore’s White House Pandemic Awareness Summit led him to foresee the inevitability of global pandemics, and the need for reliable and safe air, water, and surface solutions. He purchased Electrolux North America in 1998 and transformed the company into what is today ActivePure Technologies, LLC – an industry leader in creating better indoor environments and helping organizations achieve their carbon footprint goals. The company’s flagship Active Advanced Photocatalysis (ActivePure) Technology—a key cornerstone of business growth—now provides peace of mind to businesses, schools, healthcare facilities, government centers, and individuals around the world. Joe Urso is the winner of the 2022 Entrepreneur Of The Year for Ernst & Young’s Central Plains Region, as well as a finalist at the national level.
